Wordless-ish Wednesday: A boy & his snow

Since the beginning of December, Malakai has been asking, praying, begging for snow to cover Maryland. Actually, who am I kidding? He only cared if it would snow in our yard. You can imagine his disappointment when I told him that Aunt Dorothy wouldn't make it for Christmas Eve because it was snowing where she lives... "Why isn't it snowing here, Mommy? It needs to snow at my house!"

So of course when the clouds finally left a white blanket in our front yard, we bundled up for the bitter cold and ventured outside for some icy fun!

Is his hat not the most adorable thing? (Thanks, Aunt B!)

Love that cold little face- runny nose & all! :) I'm really wishing I had nailed this focal point... those snowflakes on his eyelashes- adorable!

Truly a beautiful day even though our fingers were becoming icicles!

Loving this shot- except that I cut the trees off but the color in the pond was so pretty.

This was Malakai being "excited" haha

I really love this boy.

I had to bribe him to even come over for this photo and then there was snow on my lens so he looks like he's glowing, lol. I will share more photos my little snow angel girls another day :)

So Malakai spent most of the winter praying for snow. This was the only time it snowed enough to play in it and now that it is March, Mother Nature is looking to unload a nor'easter on us tomorrow.... lovely. just lovely.

New Endeavors

My poor blog got put on the back burner there for a couple of weeks. The wait is over for all my anxious readers... you know, all 5 of you :)

Actually, after getting back in town from our thanksgiving fun, I have been working hard on editing photos & my newest endeavor- DIGITAL PHOTO CHRISTMAS CARDS! This is good news, people! I am now designing Christmas cards and the best part is, you can have it printed anywhere you want or not at all. You could just use it to send your holiday greeting online, saving yourself time & money! I'm really excited about this and I hope that at least some of you will allow me to design your Christmas cards this year :) I am actually teaming up with In His Grace Photography to make purchasing easy and seamless :)

Wordless-ish Wednesday

In September, the kids & I began meeting with a couple other moms/kids for a preschool co-op of sorts. Working on letters, learning to sit and a craft or two. We also decided that once a month we would do a field trip. First up was the firehouse! YAY! Malakai loves it so much and it a never ending source of questions. Seriously, every time he goes, you would think he'd never been before. SO funny!

I managed to capture a few photos of Jerry actually in a truck but unfortunately, the little guy avoided the trucks completely after one of the other 2 boys pushed the horn. In his defense, it scared all of us and Lilly cried. The few that I do have, were when he still (albeit reluctantly) believed us that NO ONE WILL BLOW THE HORN! Sorry, Jerry, we should have known... <3

Folks, I'd like you to meet Will Fireman Ray. He takes his job very seriously :)

photo #1

10 points if you can tell which one is Ava & which one is Lilly in these 2 photos :)

Photo #2

Ava thought she was big stuff pushing Clara around in the stroller :)
Pushing the adults out of the way,
"I got it! I got it!"

Safety first, of course, as Malakai HAD to buckle his seatbelt! :)

He was proud to be squirting the water from this cool gadget!

These two boys are seriously 2 peas in pod. It's crazy!

A BIG HUGE

THANK YOU

to Fireman Gordo &
the Oxford Volunteer Fire Department!
The kids had such a blast!!!!
