Restoration

Have you ever sat overwhelmed by troubling situations mounting up around you that are completely out of your control? Have you ever just wanted fix it all and make everything better but were only left feeling helpless?

Yep. Me too.

Questioning God's timing and methods,
I continually ask when and how things will be restored or fixed or whatever.
Not blaming the Lord but desperate for his hand to move.
To fix all these things that I can plainly see are broken.
To Deliver.

Last night when I was thinking on these things,
the Lord brought this scripture to mind.

but they who wait for the LORD
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.
(Isaiah 40:31 ESV)

The Lord will provide all that we need.
 He never leaves nor forsakes His children.
When we are broken or hurt or lost
He will restore, heal and seek us out
HE WILL COME FIND HIS LOST SHEEP.
He will RESTORE.
He doesn't just make things feel better.

God makes it better
not only better than the current circumstances
but better than before!

Listen to this promise:

“The threshing floors shall be full of grain;
the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.
I will restore to you the years
that the swarming locust has eaten,
the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter,
my great army, which I sent among you.
“You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied,
and praise the name of the LORD your God,
who has dealt wondrously with you.
And my people shall never again be put to shame.
You shall know that I am in the midst of Israel,
and that I am the LORD your God and there is none else.
And my people shall never again be put to shame.
(Joel 2:24-27 ESV)

Locusts destroy whatever comes in their path.
They leave nothing
Only God can restore that type destruction.
The wonderful things is,
He promises to do just that for His children!
He promises to fill our threshing floors
and overflow our vats!

My encouragement to you (and myself) is this:

Whatever your struggle,
 Whatever you are waiting on God to restore,
He is faithful.
He promises to do it.
And He will because,
His people will not be put to shame.
Rest in His promises.
Only He can satisfy our needs... our desires.
Only He can put what is broken perfectly back together.

We don't reclaim what has been eaten & destroyed by locusts,
Jesus restores all that was lost- even to overflowing!

Thank you, Jesus that I can rest in You!
Thank you for loving me!
