  1. My BFF Linda and I have been friends for nearly 50 years. We met in Sunday School when we were 4. We don't see each other often - live 2 hours apart, but we talk, text and email all the time. She's the best bestie ever!

  6. My best childhood friend is named Christi, and when we were in high school we were inseparable. My absolute favorite memory (out of the millions) with her has to be when my mother asked us to paint the outside furniture for her. There were two chairs and one long lounge chaise and they were all going to be painted white. We got dressed in painting clothes (i.e. pajama bottoms and old t-shirts) and went to down painting. Somehow along the way (read: teenage girls + paint + no supervision) we ended up with almost as much paint on us as on the furniture. We then walked, still covered in paint, down the block and around the corner to rent some movies and get snacks before heading home for one of our many sleepovers.

My mother took pictures of that day, and I've still got them framed on a dresser in my room - the two of us covered in white paint and smiling from ear to ear.

Though we're three states away now, and have been for many years, and though we're not as close as we use to be (life took us in different directions) we are still friends even now.

  7. I had two main friends growing up. Sadly I don't see them anymore. Just lost contact after we split to different schools. Have many memories though. Going to the fair, hanging out playing video games, etc. I miss those times and friends!

  10. Emily Begley. We used to call each other our "oldest friend." we did everything together making fools of ourselves at all times. We both started attending different schools while in elementary and grew apart. But two years ago she stood up in my wedding and was easily the best bridesmaid I had. She did everything she possibly could to bless me, and bless me she did! -Carrie Peterson
